Historical Vessel & Contemporary Surface
Created in 2024, this vessel represents my family’s Chinese zodiac, inspired by the personal narrative of how deeply I value my family.
In the design, I am depicted as the horse, my two sisters as the dragon and monkey, and my dad as the snake. The animals move together in harmony, surrounded by a whimsical backdrop of stars, symbolizing unity and connection.
The vessel was a hand-built coil build and measures at about 12” tall after firing.
